Our Journey & Portfolio

While that three-year drive through the Americas gave us our taste for adventure, it was a specific stop in Mendoza that turned our passion into a business. We came across the wines of Jorge Rubio and fell completely in love with the family's hands-on craftsmanship and the rich, expressive flavors shaped by their unique desert oasis. We knew we couldn't just leave those bottles behind—we had to bring them back to Ontario, and that foundational partnership officially launched Full Belly Wine Imports.

Since then, our curiosity has taken us across oceans. While our roots are forever tied to South America, our deep love for old-world traditions has led us to focus heavily on Italy, where we've built a large part of our portfolio around small family estates. Alongside incredible producers from Spain and South Africa, we are constantly exploring new regions, with more countries being added to our map soon.

Our Selection Process

Every wine in our portfolio is chosen because it's something we genuinely love to drink ourselves. We look for independent, small-scale winemakers who pour their hearts into every vintage, allowing us to share hidden gems that offer incredible quality for what you pay. For us, it is all about supporting passionate people and bringing their stories directly to you.
