Bodega Jorge Rubio
Named for the bicentennial of Argentine independence, this Malbec comes from carefully selected grapes grown in the eastern, lower altitude vineyards of General Alvear, southeast of Mendoza. Rich, ripe, and fleshy with aromas of mulberry, fine herbs, violet, and generous cedary spice. Velvety smooth on the palate with excellent focus and length. Aged 18 to 24 months in new French oak.
Pairs with grilled red meats, game, slow-cooked stews, and aged cheeses.
Serve at 16 to 18°C.
